JW Anderson Medium Pierce Bag in Antique Pink $1690–JW Anderson hit it out of the park with this bag. It’s current and a future classic at once. The medium size is perfect for carrying around your things without having to pare down or be weighed down by a huge bag. Technically this is my mom’s bag, but I’ve been using it for the past month or so. My mom is one crazy stylish lady and we share bags, accessories, and beauty products all the time.
It’s 2017 and I have a blog, my phone is my GPS, and I’m a millennial. Basically, my battery is always on 6%. Getting this Mophie External Battery $35 changed my life–I’m even more of a phone zombie now. Life’s great. It has 2 plugs which means my phone and Ipad can grab a charge at the same time.
These Ray-Ban Oval Flat Sunglasses $153 are with me at all times. They’re stylish and the lens is dark enough to protect my light sensitive eyes even in the brightest sunlight. Plus, my uncle told me I look like Joey Ramone when I wear them. He meant it as a jab, but I took it as a compliment.
I keep Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm $27 in my bag at all times. If my hands touch water for a even a second they become dry and painful. I’ve been using this tube for a year with no end in sight so I’d say it’s worth the price. I love the scent and how rich it is without being uber greasy.
I’m not the biggest germaphobe, we need some of those little guys to keep our immunity up, but public bathrooms and transportation squick me out. Dr. Bronner’s Lavender Hand Sanitizer Spray (2 for $15) is in my bag always. The smell is so relaxing that I sometimes spray my hands when I get a bit of anxiety out in public to re-center myself.
Keeping a minimal wallet is so nice compared to carrying around my old massive Marc Jacobs wallet. This Leather Card Case $26 by Madewell is sleek, convenient, and affordable. I searched around for one of these forever and this one is just perfect. My keys are on the older version of this Everlane Small Leather Keychain $18.
Makeup In My Bag
I’m not one to carry my whole makeup bag with me wherever I go. I really only keep the essentials on me in case I need to touch up. Right now I’ve been using my Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Pepper $26 non-stop. Sephora makes some excellent lipliners and the shade 28 Sink or Suede $12 matches perfectly to all of my brownish dusky rose shades.
My chronically dry skin unfortunately affects my lips as well. I keep Glossier’s Balm Dotcom in Mint $12 as well as a tin of Smiths Rosebud Salve $9 in my bag at all times. I like Balm Dotcom under lipsticks because it’s matte, but I love the Smiths Rosebud Salve when I’m not wearing lipstick because it gives a really pretty effect to the lips.
Lastly, I keep a tin of Rimmel’s Stay Matte Powder $5 in case I catch a little shine on my face. I love this powder because it’s so affordable and doesn’t cake up when used for touch ups.
Keepin’ Myself Fresh
This R+Co Death Valley Dry Shampoo Travel Size $17 is the dry shampoo in my bag recently. The quality of this dry shampoo is awesome–it’s a fine powder without grit or a white cast, but the smell isn’t really my favorite. In my Hair Essentials I wrote about my all time favorite the Elizabeth and James Nirvana Dry Shampoo in Bourbon $14. I’m out of that but it’s going to be repurchased the minute this R+CO is finished. I also keep my Nirvana Black Rollerball $28 with me for a quick re-up at the end of the day.
Well babes, this is everything I keep in my bag! I try to keep it semi-minimal so I’m not constantly lugging my life around.
